Privacy policy

Last updated: September 2026.

What we collect

When you create an account, we store your email address and password (handled securely by our authentication provider, we never see or store your password in plain text). If you install the ThreadEasy Chrome extension and connect it to your account, we also store the LinkedIn message data it reads on your behalf: contact names, headlines, profile links, message text and timestamps for the conversations you sync.

How we use it

We use your synced message data to work out which conversations have gone quiet based on the cadence settings you choose, to generate AI summaries and suggested follow-up drafts, and to send you the reminders and digest emails you have asked for. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Who we share it with

A few third parties process data on our behalf:

  • Our database and authentication provider, which stores your account and message data.
  • Anthropic, whose Claude AI model reads the text of a conversation to generate its summary and suggested follow-up. Anthropic processes this text to return a result to us; see Anthropic's own privacy policy for how they handle API data.
  • Our hosting provider, which runs the application itself.
  • Our email provider, if you receive digest emails from us.

We do not share your data with LinkedIn, and LinkedIn has no visibility into your use of ThreadEasy.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you would like your account and all associated data deleted, email us at hello@threadeasy.co.uk and we will remove it.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you. Get in touch using the email address above and we will action your request promptly.

Security

Your data is protected by row-level security, meaning only your own account can read or write your data, even at the database level. The token your browser extension uses to sync is stored as a one-way hash, not in plain text, so it cannot be recovered even by us.

Children

ThreadEasy is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will let you know by email or via a notice on the dashboard.
